The Board of the St. Lawrence Parks Commission is pleased to announce the appointment of Tim Casey as interim General Manager and CEO of the Commission effective October 12, 2010. Tim replaces departing Pat Macdonald who has accepted the position of Assistant Deputy Minister, International Trade and Marketing, with the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade. The Ministry of Tourism and Culture will run an open competition in the near future to find a permanent general manager.

Tim brings a wealth of senior leadership and operations management experience in both the public and private sectors. He has experience in the retail wholesale and manufacturing sectors in operations, marketing, sales, finance procurement and infrastructure development. Tim also served as CEO of the Ontario Realty Corporation and the Ontario Housing Corporation and held Assistant Deputy Minister positions in the Ontario Ministries of Housing and Government Services as well as the Management Board Secretariat. Tim joins the SLPC from his most recent position as interim General Manager of Ontario Place.
